I had the opportunity to hear a long-time favorite preacher, Dr. Johnny Pope, tonight. He preached his well-known message, "Jesus Is Wonderful" where he winds up listing the names of Christ through the scriptures from A-Z.
It is a blessing to know some that are still pretty much the same through the years, serving the same Christ, and having the same passion.
Hope all of you are blessed by some heart-felt messages from the Word of God. _________________ "God forgive us, in an hour like this, that we have been dry Christians, preaching a dynamite Gospel and living firecracker lives." -- Vance Havner |

I hadn't heard him in person for quite awhile myself. I think part of that reason has been that he went from "great preacher" to also being a "great pastor." I know he still travels and preaches out a good bit, but his home church people seem to take a priority -- which is as it should be. _________________ "God forgive us, in an hour like this, that we have been dry Christians, preaching a dynamite Gospel and living firecracker lives." -- Vance Havner |

PB, You could be right, sounds great!!! I recall the day that a pastor was at his church most weeks working except for vacations. Many used that time to preach in other churches. _________________ Homeward bound,
